Standalone part price versus attached value
A standalone Strange Part is independently tradable before it is applied. Once attached, the market does not necessarily reward the item by the entire cost of that part. TF2Bolt therefore treats supported Strange Parts as attachments: it prices the standalone part and currently adds 12% of that value to the item estimate.
The Price Checker shows the standalone sell/buy reference and the amount actually added, so the attachment calculation is visible rather than hidden inside the final total.
Why detection matters
Steam descriptions can expose Strange counters in slightly different text shapes. A pricing tool has to distinguish a real Strange Part counter from unrelated numeric description text. TF2Bolt uses known Strange Part labels and aliases, then deduplicates repeated description lines before pricing the attachment.
Multiple parts
When several supported Strange Parts are attached, each part is priced independently and its attachment contribution is added separately. This lets you see which counter is responsible for which portion of the estimate.
