- Confirm the exact item name and quality.
- Check Unusual effect, War Paint and wear where applicable.
- Check Killstreak tier, Sheen and Killstreaker attributes.
- Look for Strange Parts and legacy spells.
- Compare suggested sell-side demand with sell listings instead of relying on one number.
- For rare items, compare several references and recent market activity before deciding.
Price is not the same as instant liquidity
A quoted value does not guarantee that you can immediately sell an item for that amount. Common keys and frequently traded items may have tighter spreads, while unusual or highly specific variants can have a wider gap between buyers and sellers. Keep that difference in mind when comparing a liquid item to a rare collectible.
Trade-offer safety
Always review the actual items in the Steam trade confirmation, not just the message or website that led you there. Check the partner, the item names and the direction of the trade before confirming.
